My darling Dave, I feel privilaged to have been your wife for nearly fourty years. If I had written a list of qualities I wanted in a husband you fitted the bill perfectly. Lots of people meet and fall in love, but not many get to meet their true soulmate in life. I was so lucky to have found you and am so proud and honoured to have been your wife. You were my rock, my soul mate and my best friend, we shared something very special, and the memory of our love will live in my heart forever. You were the nicest man I have ever met, you were a family man, your family meant everything to you, you were so proud of all our kids and would do anything for them. Nothing was ever to much trouble to you, you would help anyone out, you were dedicated to your job at Gordon Durhams and were very well respected there. I rarely heard you complain, even through your many illnesses, cancer didn't change that, you were always optomistic, shame you hadn't been rewarded and beaten it. You would have been amazed at the amount of people at your funeral, it just showed how well liked and respected you are, you are missed by so many people.
